
The wines are aged in traditional oak casks in Ferreira’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. During this period, they are frequently racked, analysed and tasted to monitor their evolution. After ageing, the final blend is made from a careful selection of wines, which are then clarified and stabilized before bottling.
Red colour with tones of brick. Its aroma is intense and rich, with nuances of extremely ripe fruit such as plums, floral notes and spices such as cinnamon, and dried fruits, resulting from ageing by oxidation in oak. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, with soft tannins, integrated acidity, notes of ripe red fruits and spices, with an elegant finish and great persistence.
