This wine is made from Bobal grapes harvested from vineyards in Valencia. This is an intensely hot area for growing grapes, and as such they display a far degree of ripeness. This wine immediately shows its ripeness with its rich, purple tinted colour. Black plum and blueberry notes kick off the palate, followed by a complex mid palate of tar, smoke, vanilla, and even some toffee. The finish is pleasant with a hint of bitterness. This wine would be a lot of fun to pair with a couple types of cheese to explore those flavours further.
