mThe grapes are carefully selected before being fermented and aged in oak in exactly the same way as the Grands Crus Classés of Graves and Pessac-Léognan. Sirius Red is situated at the high end of the Bordeaux category and the emphasis is on balance, finesse and the mutually complementary aromas of the three Bordeaux grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
This entry level Bordeaux shows a lean but well defined structure. On the nose cedar, spice, smoke, and baked cherry. On the palate cherry, red plum, and a touch of rhubarb. Black pepper and smoke on the finish. A nicely made Bordeaux for the price that would elevate most roasted or barbecued meats.
