Le Pape was the third wine release from Haut-Bailly. I say was because after years of elevating the vineyard and fruit quality, Haut-Bailly ceased production of this wine in 2021, deeming the fruit now suitable to be included in their second wine, Haut-Bailly II. What that means is that these final bottles of Le Pape represents the best this wine has been, and will ever be. 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon
