Papa Figos is under the Casa Ferreirinha winery, pioneers in Douro Valley table wines. This is a great white wine for this time of year where you want something with just a little more weight to it, without going full on oak-bomb Chardonnay. It’s a bit Rhone Valley like, with floral notes joining peach and melon. This a versatile wine in that it’s just as suited to having in the mid afternoon fall sun as it is after dinner on the couch.
