This is a white stout, which is basically…not a stout. It’s more like a cream ale. The name is used though as a sort of power-of-suggestion thing. It’s like, they want you to go into this beer thinking that it’s going to be like a stout even if though it’s not actually…you know what, forget it. It’s a white stout, just go with it.
Now on smelling this there’s a powerful, almost overpowering aroma of cardamom, coriander, and other chai spices. But get your nose outta that glass, leave the aroma identification to wine drinkers. This is beer where the only thing you’ve gotta focus on is drinking it, and this drinks very, very smoothly. The chai spices are totally mellowed out by chocolatey notes and subtle sweetness.
