
In ancient times, wine was stored in clay amphora, which were sealed with pine resin. That pine resin had a tendency to leak into the wine, imparting aromas of pine. This tradition is still around today, now with wines being made with an intentional addition of pine resin. This Retsina opens with citrus and follows with a mild pine aroma, but not overpowering.
