Burgundy Pinot for thirty bucks? Yes please. Edouard Delaunay as a winery is currently in a rebirth, having been bought back by Laurent Delaunay, great grandson of Edoaurd. This is their entry level wine made from grapes sourced across Burgundy, those higher quality Cote d’Or offerings are aged in oak, while fruitier berries sourced from western Burgundy and Beaujolais are kept in steel tank. The result is a wine showing balance, not just in the flavour and structure, but balanced as an expression of Burgundy.
