While Cabernet and Merlot can sometimes struggle to ripen in Canada, resulting in a wine with underipe aromas and tannins, that isn't the case here. Black cherry, black plum, and blackberry linger in the glass, complimented with cedar, cocoa, and toast. There is a touch of currant leaf, black pepper, and tobacco on the end. Dry with high acid, tannins, and alcohol. This is steak wine.
