Clare Valley is a slightly cooler climate in Australia, allowing this Shiraz to hold on to bright acidity while still being nicely ripe. Black plum and blueberry show clearly. 12 months in American oak gives touch of vanilla, and of course there is that kiss of black pepper on the finish.
