This Garnacha from Campo de Borja, Spain takes a modern approach of omitting oak use. The expression is entirely of the grape and nothing else, and it is impressive! Red cherry and plum alongside earthy, herbal notes of licorice, sage, and thyme. While this is 14.5% ABV, it does not come across as unbalanced. Pair with grilled chicken or paella.
