This wine is produced from 100% Syrah grown on a rocky and granit soil. Dark red centre, lighter rim on the robe. Licorice, blackberry, crème de menthe, smoky bacon assemble on the nose, a backdrop of oak tar. The palate bears black fruits with a smoky presence from the oak, has cut towards its fresh finale. The oak needs 15 months to get inside it further. It’s a modern, slightly arm’s length St Jo with agreeable fruit, sound length. Drink now through 2023-2024.
