The Guelbenzu estate was started in 1843 by one Don Martin Maria Guelbenzu. His son, Miguel, developed the winery and won many awards in 1880 for his wines. Now their descendent Don Ricardo Guelbenzu is the winery's owner. Their Crianza is a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Graciano, and is aged in oak barrels for 9 months, created a wine that is firm yet fun. Notes of dark berries, cedar smoke, cocoa and a touch of oak spice. Enjoy with richer tapas dishes, or with grilled meats.
