The first whiff is reminiscent of opening a bottle of Disaronno. It pours slightly hazy pale straw, virtually indistinguishable from the cocktail. The tartness hits right up front and smooths it’s way into a melange of amaretto, lemon and a hint of creaminess from the lactose, meant to mimic the egg white and simple syrup. It finishes super clean, with just a hint of tart left on the palate. With the depth of flavour and balanced tartness, this beer will satisfy sour fans year round.
